ROB O’MAHONY

Principal Physiotherapist

My physiotherapy career started with 6 years of private practice in North Perth, Leederville and West Perth, honing my manual therapy and exercise rehabilitation skills. During this period, I was playing for University Football Club and developed a special interest in knee and shoulder injuries after suffering from a couple of my own.

In 2016 I relocated to Singapore and joined a busy sports physiotherapy clinic that serviced a large number of orthopaedic cases. I had the opportunity to work with some of the top orthopaedic and sports medicine specialists in Australia and Singapore.

I combined physiotherapy with my passion for sport, managing athletes for SCC Rugby and the Singapore National Women’s Rugby Seven’s team. This opened up doors working in medical teams for elite and amateur contact sport events in Muay Tai, Mixed Martial Arts, and Rugby. Being a member of the Head Injury Assessment medical team for the international HSBC Singapore Rugby Seven’s was a career highlight.

I am excited to be back in beautiful Perth close to friends & family, exercising outdoors and supporting the mighty Eagles. I am currently working closely with volleyball, soccer, long distance runners and people who love HIIT and weight training.

What I love the most about being a physiotherapist is forming strong alliances with my clients, while guiding them back safely to perform better than ever in an activity they love.
