Physio Pilates & Strength Classes

Our Physio Pilates & Strength Classes in West Leederville and Gwelup are designed to help you move with confidence, improve strength, and support long-term health through supervised, structured exercise. These small-group sessions suit people of all ages and activity levels, providing a safe and supportive environment to stay active.

What Is Physio-Led Pilates?

Pilates focuses on controlled, purposeful movement to improve body awareness, strength, flexibility, balance, and postural control. Exercises can be performed on a reformer or mat, often using equipment such as resistance bands, weighted balls, and stability balls to add variety and challenge.

The Benefits of Strength Training

Resistance-based exercise using body weight, bands, or free weights can help to:

  • Increase muscle strength and support joint function

  • Improve mobility and flexibility

  • Enhance balance and reduce fall risk

  • Support weight management

  • Maintain bone density

  • Assist with managing general musculoskeletal conditions

  • Improve sleep and overall wellbeing

How Our Classes Work

At Kinima Physio, our physiotherapists combine Pilates principles with evidence-based strength training to create programs tailored to your goals.

Your journey begins with an initial physiotherapy appointment where we assess your movement, strength, and individual needs. Your physio then builds a personalised program, delivered through our easy-to-use mobile app. If appropriate, they may recommend joining our small-group classes at either our West Leederville or Gwelup clinic.

These classes are ideal if you:

  • Are returning to exercise and want structured support

  • Prefer close supervision and guidance

  • Have goals such as injury prevention, improving strength, or supporting recovery

  • Want to stay consistent between physiotherapy appointments

They help bridge the gap between hands-on treatment and long-term active living.
