Frequently Asked Questions

  • At your first appointment, your physiotherapist will welcome you into a private treatment space where you can share your story, your concerns and what matters most to you.

You’ll receive a thorough assessment of your movement, strength and relevant lifestyle factors. Your physiotherapist will explain the findings clearly and discuss a working diagnosis. Together, you’ll develop a personalised management plan to support your recovery and your goals.

Your plan may include a combination of education, hands-on treatment, dry needling, shockwave therapy, movement strategies, exercise therapy and a home exercise program. You’re welcome to use our on-site rehab gym to start your exercises before you leave.

  • No, you don’t need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist. Physiotherapy is accessible to anyone.

If you do have a referral or relevant medical documents, please bring them to your initial appointment. This helps us keep communication clear and ensures your care is well coordinated.

  • Not necessarily. The idea of “no pain, no gain” doesn’t always apply.

Some treatment techniques or assessments may cause mild discomfort, and it’s also common to feel some temporary soreness afterward. Your physiotherapist will explain why a technique is being used so you understand what to expect. If you have any concerns during or after treatment, please let your physiotherapist know so we can adjust your care.

  • In most cases, physiotherapy is included in private health extras cover. Your rebate will depend on your specific plan.
We have HICAPS available in the clinic so you can claim instantly at the end of your session.
Remember to bring your valid private health card with you.
