ALISTAIR HOUGHTON
Senior Physiotherapist
Hi, I’m Alistair. Originally from Mackay in North Queensland, I completed my Physiotherapy degree at James Cook University in Townsville in 2016. Since then, I’ve gained broad experience across Brisbane, Mackay, and most recently Perth, including time working in the Kimberley region of WA.
I’m passionate about helping active people recover from sports injuries, surgery, or persistent and complex pain. I have a special interest in managing shoulder, hip, and knee osteoarthritis, and supporting people with long-term joint pain to improve function and delay or avoid surgery when possible. I’m also a GLA:D® certified clinician, helping people build mobility, strength, and confidence through targeted exercise and movement strategies.
In my treatment, I combine hands-on therapy with tailored exercise programs. I focus on clear communication and collaboration with you and your broader healthcare team to ensure your recovery is safe, effective, and meaningful.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy hiking, strength training, and staying active. I’m a keen cricket and rugby league fan, with a growing interest in AFL, and I love travel, live music, and exploring WA in my 4WD.
