ALINA TRAN

Principal Physiotherapist

Starting my physiotherapy career in a Perth hospital, I experienced the profession from all different angles (orthopaedic rehabilitation, neurology, ante-natal & post-natal, gerontology and respiratory).

As my career progressed, I discovered where my interests lay; orthopaedic rehabilitation and sporting musculoskeletal injuries. This led me to work in private practice and an orthopaedic outpatient clinic for a number of years.

My next adventure took me internationally to Singapore, placing me in a dynamic sports physiotherapy clinic, collaborating with leading international and Australian orthopaedic surgeons. My passion for orthopaedics and knee injuries quickly grew as I helped manage and guide many clients and athletes back to their sport and activities.

In 2018, I was appointed Head Physiotherapist for the travelling National Singapore Netball Team, that won Silver at the Asian Netball Championships. Additionally, I worked alongside Team Fiji, managing their injuries in the 2019 Netball Test Series in Singapore.

Since returning home, I have enjoyed family holidays in Yallingup, cooking & baking with fresh produce, swims at City Beach and exercising outdoors (running, walking & HIIT) in the amazing Perth weather. I am also a proud (and maybe tragic) supporter of the Fremantle Dockers!

Together with Rob, we are excited to bring you Kinima Physio, a place where we can combine our experience and passion to hear your story, to guide you to your meaningful goals.
