Running Assessment

Not quite sure if your running style is contributing to your pain? A simple running assessment can determine which part of the gait cycle may be affecting your injury.

There has been a lot of published data on different ways to land, which type of shoe to wear, which type of surface to run on and how many steps to take per minute (cadence). It’s a lot to think about, especially if your main reason to run is to escape and mentally recharge from a busy day.

Together with a management plan, our Running Physiotherapists can perform a running assessment on our treadmill using video analysis. This will help you understand the mechanics of your running style and what you can modify to help with your injury.

It is important to note that a strengthening program is nearly always prescribed by your Running Physio in combination with modifying your running style to optimise recovery and performance.
